FORT WORTH, Texas – The PWR (Premier Women’s Rodeo) 2026 World Championship began competition Tuesday with two sections of Round 1 to get the action underway in Cowtown Coliseum with four different disciplines starting.
The PWR Championship will resume Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. CT, continuing with Barrel Racing, Team Roping, and Breakaway Roping.
Barrel Racing – Limited
All four of the top spots were taken by competitors during the latter section of the first round of Barrel Racing (Limited) with Kennzie Nixon (Pleasanton, Texas) setting the standard for the first day. Nixon clinched the first round with a time of 13.639 seconds as she and Kinzey Newton (Arlington, Tenn.) battled it out at the top as Newton set a time of 13.661 seconds one ride before, briefly sitting atop the leaderboard.

Barrel Racing – Challenger
The Challenger division of Barrel Racing came down to a thousandth of a second with Cari Titsworth (McAlester, Okla.) earning the top position with a time of 13.617 to lead after the first round. Julia Beaty (Glade Hill, Va.) was a smidge behind her, clocking in at 13.618 as the duo put on a show for the crowd.

Bella Skinner not only won the opening round of the Pro Barrel Racing division but ran the fastest time of the day with a time of 13.198 Tuesday night. The native of Wills Point, Texas was able to edge out Skyler Nicholas (Rockdale, Texas), who recorded a time of 13.220.

Toni Miller (Wittmann, Ariz.) and Kayla Perkins (Morristown, Ariz.) finished runner-up in the first go around with a time of 8.68 seconds.
