NOMINATION ELEGIBILITY

Must have a PWR W27 ID Card to nominate the W27 Segment

Must be 13 years old or older to buy a PWR ID Card and nominate towards the W27 segment

W27 ID Cards are sold in NextGen

Athletes must be nominated before the advertised start time of the event or prior to the athletes first round of competition. Rodeos with multi-day progressive round formats can be nominated at any round of competition but will only receive points from when the nomination is received. Points from previous rounds will not be applied.

The event must have a payout to be eligible for VRQ points. The results must be posted publicly or official results provided to our results team. All results sent in must be complete with full names, Placement, times/scores, and payout for all paid rounds of competition. Email results to results@vrqapp.com.

Nominate your efforts at upcoming events and earn points towards a PWR event leaderboard.

VRQ Leaderboards for all segments and series programs are updated on Thursday afternoons each week.

NEW POINT STRUCTURE MODEL FOR W27

NEW POINT STRUCTURE MODEL FOR W27

Point scale is based on the nomination count

The number of people who nominate in an event determines which points level is unlocked

For example, if 10 people nominate, the 1st place value comes from the 10th row on the scale

All other placings in that event are calculated from that unlocked value

If an athlete does not earn points, a value of 100 consolation points are awarded just for nominating.

Multi-Round & Aggregate Events
Applies to events like team roping and breakaway roping
Aggregate points: In multiple-entry timed events, points are guaranteed based on the aggregate results against your nomination peers
We will fall back on round results to fill remaining point spots if needed
In theory, if you catch, you get points. Your performance against other nominees determines how many points you earn.

Round Points
If the event pays rounds, we will also award round points
Round points are worth half the unlocked value from the nomination count
Example: 3 people nominate in team roping for a D3 or D2 event
This unlocks 550 points for 1st in the aggregate
Rounds will be worth 275 for 1st, 262.5 for 2nd and 250 for 3rd in each round

What happens to my points if I tied for a placing?

In an instance where athletes tied, the total points for the tied places will be added together and split evenly between the total number of tied places.

ALLIANCE EVENTS

You earn points based on how many people nominate, not just whether you place.

Every nomination counts, you’re competing virtually against other nominees, not just the event placings

Guaranteed points through 1st – 25th depending on nomination count (see scale below)

W27 POINT CHART

If it’s a multiple-entry event, you may nominate multiple times (i.e. different horses or different runs) and earn points for each nomination

LABELING ALLIANCE EVENTS

All Alliance Events will be clearly marked in the system

These are events where:
Full results are verified and approved by the VRQ team
Cross-promotion with VRQ occurs
Points are guaranteed through at least 10th place

NON-ALLIANCE EVENTS

Points are awarded only if you place in the actual event results

This is because full verified results may not be submitted and not approved by the VRQ team

Point scale remains the same, based on nomination count, but you must place to earn points

Guaranteed points through 1st – 25th depending on nomination count (see scale below)
