FORT WORTH, Texas – Day two of the PWR (Premier Women’s Rodeo) 2026 World Championship continued Wednesday with high-stakes competition, as several contestants saw their championship hopes come to an end while one cowgirl secured a coveted World Championship title.
The first athlete crowned a 2026 World Champion was Kennzie Nixon in the Limited Barrel Racing division. The Pleasanton, Texas native finished the season with 6,094.50 points and added $2,547.76 in earnings during championship week to clinch the title.
The PWR Championship resumes Thursday at 2 p.m. with Goat Tying Rounds 1 and 2, the Limited Breakaway Roping Top 15 Short Go, and the Pro and Challenger Semi-Finals slack competition.
Barrel Racing – Limited
Nixon, a name to watch out for in the Limited Barrel Racing division, claimed the World Championship in the discipline Wednesday night. She won the first round Tuesday, followed by a time of 13.540 seconds on Wednesday to win the second round and clinch her spot in the Barrel Racing Finals Friday night.
